The Catholic Bishop of Ijebu-Ode Diocese, Most Rev. Francis Obafemi Adesina has called on all Islamic and Christian leaders to promote the culture of peace, love and unity in the nation, state and towns wherever they find themselves.

The Bishop made this remark today, Saturday November 9, 2019 during his goodwill message delivered at the Installation and Turbaning of the new Chief Imam of Ijebuland, Alhaji Imam Miftau Gbadegesin Ayanbadejo; the Naibul-Imam of Ijebu-Ode, Alhaji Nuraini Eyinfunjowo; Eketa Adiini of Ijebu-Ode, Alhaji Abdul-Wahab Adeniyi Oleolo at the Oba S.K. Adetona Golden Jubilee Centre, Awujale Palace, Ijebu-Ode.

In his speech, the Catholic Bishop expressed his joy at the opportunity to meet with the entire Muslim community and the distinguished Sons and Daughters of Ijebu land for the first time after his installation as the 3rd Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ijebu-Ode on April 25, 2019 at the occasion.

Furthermore, while congratulating the new Imams on their turbaning and installation, he charged them to always see their position of authority as that of service to God who has given them His people to lead in the path of love, peace, unity and progress.

Adetona, the Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebuland; several Obas from different parts of the state; several Federal and state House of Representatives members and distinguished Sons and Daughters of Ijebuland from all over the country.
