At the funeral Mass of late Bishop Albert Ayinde Fasina, which took place on Wednesday 15th July 2021 at Christ the King Catholic College, Odolewu, Archbishop Alfred Adewale Martin, the Catholic Archbishop of Lagos made it known that Bishop Fasina had made an important and significant role in the Province of Lagos. “We all know that the goodness of Baba Fasina cannot be exhausted. He showed his great upbringing wherever he was. Everyone surely has a lot to say to testify to Bishop Fasina’s good morals. He said, “one thing is clear; Bishop Fasina was always a pastor in his decision, comment and how he lived his life.
He recounted how Bishop Fasina helped him to patch his pastoral life when he was in the seminary. “When I was facing challenges in the seminary, I expressed my mind in a piece of paper and placed it on my locker. Everyone passed by with no comment but when Bishop Fasina saw it, he called me and spoke to me. He did what others couldn’t do”. He proceeded to express his condolences to the Catholic Diocese of Ijebu-Ode in these. On behalf of the Province he said “we share in your pain. We pray that the good Lord will grant him eternal rest. Amen
