BISHOP ADESINA MET THE DIOCESAN AD-HOC CURIA AGAIN

By REV. FR. LEO OLUWASEYI AWOJINRIN

On Tuesday, 19th November, the Bishop of Ijebu-Ode Diocese, Most Rev. Francis Obafemi Adesina met with the Diocesan Ad-hoc Curia. He made it clear to the members that they were to assist him in the administrative, juridical and pastoral dimensions of the Diocese. The ad-hoc Curia was made up of the Deans of the Deaneries as well as the heads of departments within the Diocese.

The Bishop emphasized that though the Curia is ad-hoc, pending his official appointments, it is however very functional. He requested for a rebirth in every aspect of the Diocese. He said, ‘there is hope! The hope can become a reality if every sector of our Diocese opens up to the rebirth’. He commended the calibre of Priests, Religious and Laity that he has to work with in the Diocese.

After some topical and vital issues were discussed, the Curia appointed a Moderator and a Secretary to pilot the affairs of the Curia. Msgr. Valentine Awoyemi and Very Rev. Fr. Uche Okocha were appointed to be moderator and secretary respectively. We pray and hope that the Curia will truly and sincerely be of help to the Bishop in the discharge of his duties.
