BISHOP ADESINA MEETS FINAL YEAR STUDENTS OF ALL DIOCESAN CATHOLIC COLLEGES

It is customary that the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ijebu-Ode would have a fatherly interaction with all the final year students of all the colleges owned by the Diocese. This interaction is usually organized by the Formal Education Department. This year’s interaction with the finalists was held in St. Sebastian Catholic Cathedral Ijebu-Ode on Saturday 11th June 2022.
The schools involved in this visitation to the Bishop and interaction with him were Sacred Heart Catholic College, Ijebu-Ode; CKCC, Odolewu; St. Anthony’s Grammar School, Esure and Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School, Ijebu-Ode
Those in attendance on administrative capacity were the Director of Education (Formal); Very Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Matuluko, The Asst. Director of Education (Formal); Fr. Peter Onabamiro, Principals (Fr. John Asinwo, Fr. Jude Okafor, Fr. John Aruleba and Mrs. Ajayi). Chaplains also were around, including Fr. Alfred-Matthew Nworie and Fr. Gabriel Olanrewaju)
The Senior Prefects of all schools and other representatives gave some remarks,
The students were happy to meet the Bishop directly and express their joy and some of their concerns to him. The Bishop listens keenly to all of them and gives them the appropriate answers and grants some of their requests as well. The Bishop encourages them to be of good behaviour as they prepare for graduation and leaving the four walls of the secondary school life. He tells them never to throw away the formation they have received.
The students offer some gifts to the Bishop and the Bishop blesses them all. They had some moments to taking photographs and they obviously share some happiness together.
