Students of St. Anthony Grammar School Private (Esure) in the just released West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results joined the league of Catholic schools in Ijebu-Ode Diocese to perform in a record breaking feat.

The students of St. Anthony Grammar School Private ‘Santos’ (as popularly called) excelled in the WASSCE, achieving a remarkable success rate. A significant percentage of candidates obtained excellent grades in key subjects, reflecting their commitment to academic excellence. The school’s focus on providing quality education, along with the support of dedicated teachers and parents, has greatly contributed to these impressive results.

Out of the 38 students registered for the examination, 6 of them had 9 Distinctions with Udeze Dora and Okiye Teniola recording 7 A1s and 2 B2s. Others are Adenaya Feranmi, Adenubi Ridwanulah, Adeleye Adebowale and Obilana Adedamola. Some other 16 students got 8 or 7 Distinctions. The remaining students brandished 6 distinctions. Being a Mathematics branded school, every student but one who sat for the examination got a distinction in Mathematics. What a feat!

Great appreciation to the Bishop of the Diocese who is the Proprietor; Most Rev. Francis Obafemi Adesina and the Director of Education II; Fr. Peter Onabamiro for their constant encouragement. This result, according to the Director of Education ‘is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the quality of Catholic brand of education they received.”

The students not only achieved good grades but also demonstrated skills and knowledge that prepare them for future challenges. This success has further enhanced the reputation of the school as a leading institution committed to fostering academic achievement and empowering students to reach their full potential.
