The Catholic Youth organization of Nigeria, Ijebu-Ode Diocese held her first General meeting of the year on 1st April, 2023 at St. Mathew Catholic Church, Fowoseje Imobi, Ijebu East Local government, Ogbere Deanery.

The Diocesan Executive Council had their meeting on Friday 31st March 2023 at St. Mathias Catholic Church, Tekunsile, Imobi before the general meeting to deliberate on issues that will bring about the growth of the organization. The council comprises of all the Deanery coordinators, the Diocesan elected executives and the Chaplain. The executive had the opportunity of attending Mass at St. Mathew Catholic Church, Tekunsile, one of the oldest churches in the Diocese (153years old) on Saturday morning. The parishioners welcomed the executives to their parish and thanked them for coming to their station church.

The general meeting which was scheduled to hold on the 18th of March 2023 was earlier postponed due to the postponement of the gubernatorial election.

In attendance were members from Ogijo, Iperu, Sagamu, Iloti, Ijebu Igbo, Ogbere and Ijebu Ode deaneries representing their respective Deaneries. Priests present at the meeting were  Rev. Fr. Evaristus-Mary Oduntan; the Diocesan Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Isreal Onele; the Diocese assistant Chaplain and Rev. Fr. Albert Osunlaja. The meeting came to an end after successful deliberations and conclusions.
