Bishop Adesina congratulates Supreme Pontiff Pope Leo XIV

Bishop Francis Obafemi Adesina of Ijebu-Ode Diocese has extended his congratulations to Pope Leo XIV, today Friday 9th May 2025, following the Pope’s election the previous day.
In his message released to the website of the Diocese, the Bishop conveyed sentiments of prayerful support, and well wishes for a fruitful pontificate from him and the entire Diocese of Ijebu-Ode. Given Bishop Adesina’s recent spiritual pilgrimage to the Holy Land and his emphasis on unity and collaboration within the Church, his message to the new Pope also highlights the importance of global peace, dialogue, and firm leadership in this spiritually trying moment for the Church and the world.
