NFCS INAUGURATES NEW CHAPTER AT POGIL COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY

In a significant milestone, the Nigeria Federation of Catholic Students (NFCS), Ìjèbú-Ode Diocesan Executive Council (IDEC), has inaugurated a new chapter at Pogil College of Health Technology, Oke-Eri, Ìjèbú-Òde. The inauguration ceremony, which took place on January 26, 2025, began with the celebration of the Holy Mass at St. Charles Catholic Church, Oke-Eri. Rev. Fr. Vincent Ayeni, Chaplain of Pogil College of Health Technology, in his homily, urged students to uphold their faith and be exemplary Catholic students.
The inauguration rite, led by the Diocesan Coordinator, Nfcser Oluwaseyi Andrew Ogunsakin, followed immediately after the homily. NFCSer Nwafor John was sworn in as the president of the new chapter, marking the beginning of a new era for NFCS in Pogil College of Health Technology.
The first meeting of the Diocesan Executive Council for the year 2025 followed immediately after the mass to discuss the plan for the year 2025.
The event was attended by the Episcopal Vicar for the Divine Mercy Pastoral Region and Diocesan NFCS Chaplain, V. Rev. Fr. Patrick ‘Kunle Balogun, IDEC Executives; NFCS Presidents and Secretaries from other Chapters in the Diocese; and other NFCS members.
Rev. Fr. Vincent Ayeni expressed his gratitude to Very Rev. Fr. Patrick ‘Kunle Balogun for his presence, despite his busy schedule. He also commended the IDEC for their selfless efforts in establishing the new chapter.
The NFCS Diocesan Council thanked the staff of Pogil College of Health Technology for their support and appealed to all stakeholders to support the new chapter in promoting faith, integrity, and service among young Catholic students.
